Dr. Suzy Caleo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Administration
at Louisiana State University, where she has been a faculty member since 2012. Over
the course of her career at LSU, she has taught undergraduate and graduate courses
in public management, human resource management, organizational behavior, data analytics,
and program evaluation.
A social and organizational psychologist by training, Dr. Caleo’s research focuses
on how organizational practices shape employee experiences, evaluation, and decision-making,
with particular attention to issues of discrimination and organizational justice.
Her research has been published in leading journals, including the Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Group Processes and Intergroup Relations.
Dr. Caleo has also extended her research and teaching interests to contribute to state
and local communities, assisting government and nonprofit organizations in Louisiana
with their strategic planning, data analysis, and program evaluation efforts. She
earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida International University and
her master’s and PhD in social and organizational psychology from New York University.
